Pepper-Sprayed UC Davis Students to Receive Settlement

DAVIS, Calif. — The University of California Regents approved an undisclosed settlement for the 21 UC Davis students and alumni who received a point-blank pepper-spraying from campus police in November 2011.

The settlement must be approved by a federal judge before its details are made public, NBC News reports.

A report on the incident released in April said that campus police “used poor judgment and violated policy.”
