Pennsylvania High School Locked Down after Student Stabbing

BENSALEM, Pa. – A tenth grade student was stabbed in the abdomen at Bensalem High School Nov. 29.

Police received reports about the stabbing around 1:30 p.m. The school was then shut down for a couple of hours. Students were released to go home at 3:00 p.m.

According to police, the victim emerged from the bathroom with scissors pierced in his stomach.

The victim was taken to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital after the stabbing and underwent surgery.

Police are still investigating the incident to determine whether the wound was self-inflicted or the result of a fight.

The victim is in stable condition.
