Patient Allegedly Stabs 3 Nurses Over Meds

A Springfield Hospital Center patient is facing attempted murder charges after he allegedly attacked nurses at the facility with a knife.

Kevin Sherell Jackson, 52, faces three counts each of attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and using a dangerous weapon with intent to injure and reckless endangerment, reports the Carroll County Times.

According to the news source, Jackson had gone to one of the nurses and requested headache medication. When both arrived at the location where the drugs were stored, Jackson allegedly attacked.

Police responded to the Sykesville, Ga., hospital after receiving reports of a stabbing involving three victims.

Three nurses who were allegedly attacked by Jackson were able to lock themselves in a nurse station and activate a security alarm to notify personnel.
