OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada – A Carlton University student who hacked the accounts of 32 fellow students could spend 10 years in prison for his actions.
Mansour Moufid, 20, has been charged with mischief to data and unauthorized use of a computer, according to the Ottawa Citizen. Using a pseudonym, Moufid sent a letter to the school urging it to improve its network security. He also claimed he easily breached the accounts by capturing computer keystrokes.
