Officials Fear Al-Qaeda Planning Summer Terror Spectacular

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Al-Qaeda is planning a terror “spectacular” this summer, according to a secret U.S. law enforcement report for the Department of Homeland Security.

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff stressed that the government does not have any credible evidence of an imminent attack on the United States. However, a senior official warned that this intelligence mirrors signals received before 9/11.

According to ABC News, two weeks ago, U.S. law enforcement officials obtained intelligence reports warning of potential air transit terror attacks in Glasgow and Prague. Officials in Scotland claimed they never received reports indicating Glasgow, although Chertoff assured the press that all U.S. terror intelligence is immediately shared with Great Britain.

German officials have already warned their country of a potential terror attack, unlike the U.S. government, which has attempted to keep the information secret.
