TROIS-RIVIERES, Quebec, Canada – Authorities are crediting social media with helping them locate a woman who kidnapped a one-day-old baby from Ville-Marie Hospital on Monday.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was dressed like a nurse when she entered into a hospital room and took a baby wrapped in a blue blanket. She then drove away in a red Toyota Yaris with a “Baby on Board” sign, CTV News reports.

Authorities then issued an Amber Alert around 7 p.m. on Monday night, which lasted for three hours. Quebec Provincial Police arrested the suspect, a woman in her 30s, at her home.

The baby was not injured during the incident and was returned to her mother.

Police believe they were able to find the woman so quickly because of many individuals passed the Amber Alert on social media networks.

Hospital officials are currently reviewing how the woman was able to take the baby off the facility’s premises.
