Northwestern Health Sciences U. President Dies of Gunshot Wound

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Jeff Nelson, president of Northwestern Health Sciences University was found dead in his home on Tuesday. The apparent cause of death was a gunshot wound.

“We know nothing more than what we’re telling you here, but we’ll be as transparent as possible as we learn more,” the school announced in a statement.

The Washington County sheriff’s office said it was not seeking any suspects, reports TwinCities.com.

Nelson, 58, was appointed to the position of president at the school in April.
