North Carolina State Names New Police Chief

RALEIGH, N.C. — Jack Moorman has been named as the new chief of police at North Carolina State University (NCSU). Moorman is the former captain of support services for the NCSU campus police.

Moorman will replace recently retired Tom Younce as chief of police, Technician reports.  He said he hopes to accomplish the integration of education into his enforcement duties.

Moorman previously served in the Raleigh Police Department, supervising and managing the Threat Assessment Unit and Emergency Communications Center, and as Incident Commander and Acting Chief of Police in the Absence of a Chief of Police.
