New Hotline Intended to Thwart School Violence in Kansas

TOPEKA, Kansas – The Kansas State Highway Patrol has created a hotline that students can use to anonymously report incidents or provide information that can help prevent violence on campus.

The Kansas Department of Education is holding a scholarship contest to promote the hotline. Winners will be awarded as much as $1,250 in college scholarships.

The hotline is toll-free and is available 24 hours per day, 365 days per week.
