PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Authorities have charged a former Portsmouth Schools IT worker with attempted felonious sexual assault and a misdemeanor charge of interference with custody.

Kenneth Kimber, 34, was arrested in February after authorities learned he used a district computer to try to solicit sex from a 14-year-old girl between Feb. 4 and Feb. 11, according to the Portsmouth Patch. Last month, Kimber was charged with three felony counts of certain uses of a computer prohibited and five felony counts of indecent exposure for sending the victim lewd photos.

Now prosecutors claim that Kimber took the victim home without parental knowledge and attempted to have sexual contact with her, WMUR.com reports

Kimber has been fired from his position at Portsmouth Schools. Additionally, he lost his job as the boys’ basketball coach at Noble High School in Berwick, Maine.
