MRI Unit Fire Prompts Emergency Room Evacuation

EASTON, Pa. — The emergency room at St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson campus was evacuated after a fire broke out in the MRI unit.

As a precaution, patients on the second and third floors of the hospital were moved to the far side of the building, the Bethlehem Patch reports. Some patients who were in the emergency room were taken to St. Luke’s in Bethlehem.

Only the MRI unit was damaged. It is not yet known how the fire started.
