MIT Student Falls from 5th Floor Window, Dies

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A 22-year-old senior at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) fell from the fifth floor of his fraternity house Mar. 1, resulting in his death.

Emergency medical personnel responded to a call for help at 5:45 a.m. at the Delta Upsilon Fraternity House and pronounced Robert. M. Wells dead at the scene.

Wells, a senior, majored in brain and cognitive sciences. During his sophomore year, he played on the water polo team and was a member of the football team during his junior year.

Campus police and the Boston Police Department are still investigating the case, and the state medical examiner’s office will conduct an autopsy.
