A school safety officer for Milwaukee Public Schools was arrested after a student told police he’d sexually assaulted a classmate.
Michael Robinson, 26, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student at Riverside University High School, where he works.
The victim’s classmate, James McCorkle, told police about the relationship last week, according to fox6now.com. McCorkle also claims Robinson would help students skip classes.

Robinson, who has unrelated pending criminal cases, was promptly arrested and charged with sexual assault of a student by school staff, felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping. He has pleaded not guilty.
The district released a statement last week assuring parents that officials are cooperating with the investigation and confirming that Robinson has been suspended without pay.
Still, some parents have criticized the school for hiring Robinson in the first place. The officer’s pending cases are for carrying a concealed weapon and felony drug possession with intent to deliver.
Robinson faces up to six years in prison.
