Based in Lake Forest, Calif., Kwikset®, a division of Black and Decker, unveils the SmartKey™. According to the company, this lock technology provides contractors, remodelers and building managers the ability to re-key locks in less than 30 seconds.
SmartKey 980 deadbolts feature the Builders’ Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) ANSI Grade 1 rating, improved drilling attack resistance and have passed the most stringent lock picking standard, UL 437, Par. 11.6.
