MOBILE, Ala. — Mobile Infirmary Hospital faces a lawsuit alleging its employees dragged an HIV-positive patient from the facility and dumped him on a side street before he could receive treatment.
The lawsuit, which names Mobile Infirmary Association, the city of Mobile and two individuals, claims that LeJuan Johnson was face down on the street for more than four hours in March, when temperatures were in the low 40s. More than a week later, Johnson died of hypothermia and other complications, AL.com reports.
Hospital security cameras captured the event, although it is not clear whether the footage will be admissible in court.
