Illinois College to Get Police Department

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. – Students, faculty and staff will be welcomed by the school’s very own police department when the fall semester begins at Prairie State College.

Presently, the school has an 18-member unarmed security squad. The Chicago Heights Police Department is called in when an armed officer is required.

The new department will consist of five armed police officers and 13 unarmed security officers.
