Houston Schools Allegedly Hide Reports of Campus Crime

HOUSTON – Harris County, Texas, school districts are reportedly hiding reports of campus crime from the state agency. A local news station investigation uncovered the alleged cover-up.

Harris County school districts are required to report disciplinary actions taken against students to the Texas Education Agency for parental records. After reviewing records from 21 local school districts, the Channel 11 News Defenders investigators found weapons, drugs and assault charges that were either dropped or minimized to reflect less serious actions.
