Hospital Security Guard Convicted of Sex Assault, Faces More Charges

OTTAWA, Canada — A former security guard at The Ottawa Hospital was convicted Friday of sexually exploiting and sexually assaulting a mentally disabled person.

Clinton Russell, 42, was accused of sexually assaulting a female patient in her late 20s who suffers from Williams Syndrome, an intellectual disability, on Dec. 23, 2011. The victim said Russell lured her into a private room and forced her to perform oral sex, Metro News reports.

Russell will receive his sentence on Jan. 23, 2014.

Additionally, Russell is scheduled to go on trial for the same two charges on Jan. 6, for another alleged sexual assault incident that took place in 2010.
