LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Gwinnett Medical Center was forced to turn away patients between Dec. 7 and Dec. 9 after it was hit by a computer virus that downed the hospital’s network.
The problem started Wednesday but got progressively worse until the hospital had to divert all non-emergency patients to other medical centers, TechWorld.com reports. By Dec. 9, the IT team had the virus under control.
The source of the outbreak is still not clear.
