Honeywell, Novell Experts Headline Identity Management Seminar

DOVER, Del. – Delaware State University Public Safety will be hosting a one-day seminar April 16 aimed at helping security administrators interpret and understand identity management requirements imposed by the federal government.

Beth Thomas, senior product manager for credentials and readers, Honeywell, and Tom Hartman, global partner executive, Novell, will be just two of many speakers discussing how recent government standards are paving the way for new identity management and security technologies. The seminar explores the implications of the federal government’s requirements and how they affect security administrators. According to Honeywell, the influence of this far-reaching federal initiative will be felt by both IT and physical security organizations, both at the federal, state and local levels, as well as in the private sector. The seminar is designed to help attendees learn how new technologies and business policies will keep organizations ahead of the curve. The experts from Honeywell and Novell will help decode identity management, FIPS/TWIC/FRAC, and all the new video technologies resulting from the standards.

There is no cost for the training, and continental breakfast and lunch are included. The seminar will be held at the MBNA building at Delaware State University, 1200 N. Dupont Hwy., Dover, Del. 19901.
