High School Stabbing Prompts Tighter Security

BOLINGBROOK, Ill.

Bolingbrook High School is tightening up its security after a 15-year-old student was severely injured during a campus stabbing on Sept. 15.

The school’s principal, James Mitchem, says students will be temporarily under extra security, including random metal detector wanding and book bag searches, according to Examiner.com.

The students involved in the stabbing were allegedly involved in rival gangs. The alleged attacker is being charged as a juvenile with aggravated battery.
