High School Beefs Up Security at Football Games

MOORESVILLE, N.C.
Published: September 7, 2009

Mooresville High School has stepped up its security at football games amid vandalism charges for 10 of its students.

The school has also implemented the use of metal detectors at its games in order to comply with 4A Athletic Conference guidelines.

The 10 Mooresville students, including five football players, allegedly vandalized a nearby high school, according to News 14 Carolina. Mooresville’s principal said he is confident there will be no retaliation when the two schools meet on the football field later this year, but extra security will be put in place as a precautionary measure.
