A high school secretary in Huntingdon, Pa., is being charged with 29 counts of unlawful use of a computer and 29 counts of tampering with public records after allegedly changing her daughter’s school grades.
According to prosecutors, the mother used passwords of fellow workers to access the electronic student files. She allegedly made her daughter’s grades better while tampering with two other student’s records to increase her daughter’s class standing. All the student’s grades were corrected before they graduated high school.
The mother faces a possible seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine.
