Former College Wrestlers File Lawsuit After Herpes Outbreak

YORK, PA.

Three former York College of Pennsylvania wrestlers have filed a lawsuit against their coaches after they contracted the herpes virus. The lawsuit claims the coach and trainers are responsible for a herpes outbreak.

According to Andrew Bradley, he was infected after a teammate with the virus had taped over his herpes lesions. Bradley allegedly became infected from the shared wrestling mat.

Herpes in wrestling, often called herpes gladiatorum, is fairly common in the sport, and the NCAA has rules to prevent the spread of the virus.
