Former Coastal Carolina U. Professor Accused of Threatening Campus

CONWAY, S.C. — The Coastal Carolina University community is on guard against a former professor who has allegedly contacted Homeland Security, threatening the institution.

It is unclear what threats William Weintraub has made against the campus; however, CCU officials have re-issued a trespassing alert to students to prevent the former professor from stepping on school grounds, WMBF News reports.

Weintraub, who currently resides in Tennessee, is currently under investigation for allegedly making threats to local newspapers, court clerks and judges. U.S. Marshals arrested him in 2012 following a similar investigation by local police.
