FORT MYERS, Fla. — Lee Memorial Hospital has installed the Fast Pass ID system at three public entrances to boost security.
When visitors arrive at the hospital, they must supply their driver’s licenses or passports to hospital personnel, who will scan the credentials twice. Hospital employees will then take a photo of the visitor and print out a badge, allowing guests to visit patients, WZVN reports.
In addition to installing the 19,000 system, the hospital has also increased security guards in each lobby area.
