First Grader Receives Apology For Sexual Harassment Accusations

BROCKTON, Mass. – A first grader who was suspended for three days for sexual harassment after he put two fingers inside a classmate’s waistband has received an apology from the school.

Officials at Downey Elementary School apologized Feb. 9 to the boy’s mother and said they would be reviewing the current rules for possible changes.

According to psychologists, except in the most troublesome cases, first graders or 6-year-olds do not have the capacity to sexually harass other students.
