Based in Boynton Beach, Fla., Elmridge Protection Products‘ iEvac® Fire Escape Hood is first to earn certification to the new American Standard ANSI/ISEA110, according to the company. The product protects against fire-related risks, including toxic gases, harmful particulates and life-threatening physical hazards.
The iEvac® contains a HEPA filter that removes more than 99.97 percent of sub-micron particles, such as anthrax, smallpox and radioactive particles. It also protects against ammonia, chlorine and phosphine. The product has dual-cartridges for easy breathing and is compact, lightweight, vacuum-sealed in a foil bag for a long shelf life.
