Investigators are trying to determine what caused the May 22 fire that destroyed eight school buses and heavily damaged one school bus used for Gainesville City Schools, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
According to the AJC, the fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. Morning bus routes were stopped while officials examined the remaining buses; however, the buses began running again in the afternoon.
Police are offering a $10,000 reward for information that could lead to an arrest and conviction in the fire.
School officials believe it could cost $60,000 to $70,000 apiece to replace each bus, reports AJC.
