Fire Destroys Police Services Office at California College

PLEASANT HILL, Calif. – The Police Services Office on the Diablo Valley College campus was completely destroyed by three separate incendiary devices, causing as much as $250,000 in damages.

The fire was first reported on June 24 at 2:25 a.m. It took around 20 firefighters, four engines and one truck to stop the blaze. Additionally, more than $75,000 of contents in the office were lost. The building is now considered unusable.

Nearby structures were not damaged by the fire. An anarchist group, the Concord Revolutionary Anarchist People, is claiming responsibility for the fire; however, police have not named any suspects.
