A Kappa Phi Alpha fraternity house is being suspended after an 18-year-old student was allegedly raped. Both the Ypsilanti Police and school authorities are investigating the off-campus Eastern Michigan University (EMU) fraternity.

The woman was allegedly fondled by several men in the fraternity and was raped by at least one of them. According to a media release issued by Ypsilanti Police, the woman had been drinking at a party at the fraternity house and willingly went into a room with several men before the alleged sexual misconduct occurred.

Twenty men from the fraternity were detained for questioning but were eventually released. Police do not believe any of those men were involved.
