Electrocuted Electrician Dies on College Campus
GREENSBORO, N.C.
An electrician working at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro (UNGC) was electrocuted July 6, according to digtriad.com. He did not survive.
The electrician, whose name has not been released, was doing electrical work for a remodel project inside the Elliot University Center when he unknowingly touched live wires.
Campus police said prior to the responders arriving on the scene, co-workers attempted to revive the victim using CPR; however, he was unresponsive. He was then taken to Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
Police have closed the investigation, citing that no further investigation was necessary. No charges have been filed.
Additionally, the UNGC Office of Safety will review incidents and will find ways to prevent similar accidents from occurring.
