ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – New surveillance cameras captured images of three suspicious cars after a shooting on the campus of Elizabeth City State University (ECSU), resulting in the arrests of four men for gun possession on a school campus.

ECSU added the cameras, as well as a few other security measures, to improve safety on the campus. After hearing gunshots, campus police reviewed the surveillance video and noticed the suspicious vehicles.

After calling city police, campus officials blocked off the university’s three exits.  City police were able to pull over a red Tahoe where they found two handguns and arrested four men. Police are still looking for the other two vehicles.

Martin Burley, Rasheen Williams and Quientin Gregory Jr. are charged with having a gun on a school campus and carrying a concealed weapon. The other suspect, Justin Cartwright, is the only one charged for firing the gun.
