LANSING, Mich. – The number of E. coli cases throughout Michigan have risen to 30, according to mlive.com.

Cases have been found at Michigan State University and the University of Michigan. The Michigan Department of Community Health said each E. coli case had the same DNA fingerprinting.

The outbreak is possibly linked to industrial-sized packages of iceberg lettuce sold to institutions and restaurants. Health officials continue to test products.
