Eastern Michigan University (EMU) has received an 18-month grant from the U.S. Department of Education for $490,517, according to mlive.com. The grant will help the university develop its emergency management plan.
The comprehensive all-hazards plan will describe how EMU will manage a crisis on the 800-acre campus and its 122 facilities. Additionally, the plan will explain how the university can communicate during such crises and how it will continue university operations.
