ST. GEORGE, Utah — Dixie State University has refused to allow Greek-letter organizations (GLOs) on campus in fear that the institution will be labeled as a party school.
The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) representatives said the school’s policy restricts students’ right to free expression and the right to assembly under the First Amendment.
DSU Senior Indigo Klabanoff, who has been trying to establish the Phi Beta Phi sorority on campus with no success, noted that the university still recognizes groups that promote partying, such as the Organization of Good Parties, University Herald reports.
