Deputy Shoots, Kills Arrestee-Patient at Calif. Hospital
INGLEWOOD, Calif. – A Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a suspect after he attempted to take the officer’s gun. The suspect was being treated at Centinela Hospital Medical Center.
The incident occurred Thursday morning, just after midnight, and involved at 27-year-old male who was suspected of drug possession, reports the Daily Breeze. The suspect had been transported to the facility for an unspecified medical need.
When the shooting occurred, he was being accompanied by two officers, and one of the suspect’s wrists was handcuffed to a gurney. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
