With more than $2 billion in JAG grants and another nearly $9 billion in State Fiscal Stabilization Funds, law enforcement departments and public safety organizations have a chance to acquire the public safety grant funding they need to purchase tools to keep their streets safe. Decatur Electronics has pulled information from various sources to create a Web-based resource for public safety grant information.

“We want to make sure law enforcement has access to this information,” said Kris Pearson, leader of Decatur’s marketing team. “The local departments keeping our streets safe deserve to share in the stimulus money flowing out of Washington.”

Decatur’s information is online at http://www.decaturradar.com/grant-funding-for-traffic-enforcement_34.html.

Decatur Electronics has designed and built traffic radar for over 50 years, having created the first radar for law enforcement in 1955. In addition to the OnSite line of speed trailers, the company also produces the Genesis line of police radar which revolutionized the industry, as well as the Shadow 800 police in car video system.
