D.C. Guard Service Company Faces $1.4 M Tax Lien

Published: January 5, 2006

WASHINGTON, The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has filed a lien against the security firm that provides guard services for Washington schools and other government buildings.

According to the Washington Times, Hawk One Security Inc. must pay $1.4 million in delinquent taxes for the period between 1998 and 2002. This comes shortly after Hawk One said it was close to negotiating a settlement of federal liens stemming from previous company financial difficulties.

Hawk One was awarded a two-year, $30 million school security contract last summer, as well as a $14 million contract to guard city government buildings.
