SPANISH FORT, Ala. — A police officer has been cleared of a rape accusation after investigators reviewed his patrol car’s video.
Lisha Michelle Weaver, 31, told investigators she was assaulted by the officer in his patrol car at about 11 a.m. Saturday. She was arrested shortly after 5 a.m. at Drifter’s Lounge for public intoxication and resisting arrest.
Video footage from the officer’s dash cam showed the officer taking Weaver to jail and not stopping the vehicle to assault her as she claimed, reports the Busby Press-Register.
