A western Pennsylvania university student is receiving a five to 23 months sentence for using a Taser on a police officer. The student was able to grab the female officer’s stun gun and shoot her while she attempted to arrest him.

Jeremy Spisak, 21, who plead no contest during a court hearing in January, was convicted and sentenced on June 29.

He was later subdued with a stun gun by another officer providing backup.
