TEANECK, N.J. — Two campus public safety officers at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) were hospitalized after a fire broke out in a classroom at Becton Hall on Tuesday.
The officers, along with two firefighters, were taken to Holy Name Medical Center, where they were treated for minor smoke inhalation, according to Teaneck Patch. Three other individuals, who were clearing asbestos in the building, were checked by emergency responders.
It is unclear how the fire in Becton Hall, which has been closed for renovations over the summer, began. No other students and staff were injured during the incident.
