SAN DIEGO — Police are investigating the murder of a woman whose body was found inside a burning vehicle on the University of California, San Diego campus.
Authorities responded to a report of burning vehicle in a parking lot near the campus’ baseball field around 9:20 p.m. on Oct. 29, reports SDEntertainer.com. When firefighters extinguished the fire, they found a woman’s body inside.
The parking lot was blocked off in order to allow officials to investigate the scene. Those who had parked in the lot were not able to retrieve their vehicles until Oct. 30.
It is unclear whether the victim was a student at the university or if the damaged SUV was registered to a student.
