Chapman U. Suspends SAE Chapter for 4 Years

Disciplinary action came after an investigation into policy violations.
Published: August 11, 2014

The Chapman University chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon has been suspended.

Although the reason for the suspension was not disclosed, the disciplinary action came after an “intensive investigation into policy violations,” reports the OC Register. The school did not attribute the suspension to hazing.

In March, SAE banned hazing, and the university has an anti-hazing policy.

The chapter can re-apply for its charter with Chapman in 2018.
