CULVER CITY, Calif. – A 19-year-old teacher and eight students walking home from school were hit by a car when it careened out of control into them. The teacher was killed and the students were injured.
The car’s occupants were a man and woman who were arguing. According to police, the passenger grabbed the steering wheel, causing it to veer off the road.
The accident occurred March 15 at about 3 p.m. when the eight students were leaving school. Their ages range from 10 to 13, but information on their medical conditions was not available. The unidentified teacher who was killed in the incident worked for Turning Point School, a K-8 private school.
