WILMINGTON, N.C.—Cape Fear Community College (CFCC), which already employs a student resource officer and contract security officers, will soon have 17 sworn police officers patrolling campus.
The new officers will be headquartered in a building on campus, which could be purchased by the end of the week, reports WECT. The move is intended to improve police response times to calls.
