Campus Safety’s Heroes of 2016
Niagara County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Tortorella is credited with preventing a school shooting during a dramatic shootout near an elementary school in 2015. Last year, he was awarded the Medal of Valor from former president Barack Obama.
