Officer Ellsworth “Sonny” Pryor
Virginia Commonwealth University Police Officer Ellsworth “Sonny” Pryor saved a woman who went into cardiac arrest at the university’s medical center who briefly didn’t have a pulse.
Pryor, who is also a certified emergency medical technician, retrieved and used an automated external defibrillator before also administrating CPR. On the third shock, the woman had a viable cardiac rhythm again and went on to survive.
