Campus Safety Conference Cancels 2020 Events

The 2020 Campus Safety Conferences had been scheduled for June 15-17 in Las Vegas, NV; July 12-14 in Bethesda, MD; and July 26-28 in San Antonio, TX.

After closely monitoring the risk and impact of COVID-19 on a daily basis, and speaking at length with members of our community, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Campus Safety Conferences, which had been scheduled for June 15-17 in Las Vegas, NV; July 12-14 in Bethesda, MD; and July 26-28 in San Antonio, TX.

It has become impossible to effectively execute Campus Safety Conferences that deliver the level of connection, discovery and value our community expects.  This is due to developments regarding COVID-19 that we are all familiar with at this point, including, but not limited to, the declaration of a National State of Emergency; various states of emergency across the nation; the latest federal measures, including guidelines on the phased reopening of the U.S. economy; the declaration by the WHO of COVID-19 as a pandemic; the number of confirmed cases worldwide and domestically; current quarantines, containment areas, stay at home orders, and restrictions on congregating and large gatherings imposed by states and other government and public health authorities; and the various company-imposed travel restrictions on employees affecting attendees and participating companies. Maintaining the health and safety of each of our customers, partners, and employees remains paramount to us.

Despite cancelling our in-person June and July conferences, we are committed to keeping us all connected because it’s with the help of each other that we move forward. As the largest network of security, public safety, emergency management, administration, facilities, business, and IT professionals from higher education and K-12 campuses, we are doing everything we can to leverage that for the health and safety of our industry.

Campus Safety has a number of products and services focused on helping our community remain connected and informed, including:
