BALDWIN PARK, Calif. – A Kaiser Permanente Medical Center was locked down Oct. 28 in response to an anonymous caller threatening to attack someone inside the hospital.
Police said the hospital received two threatening phone calls – one directed to the police and the other to the hospital. Lt. David Reynoso of the Baldwin Park Police Department explained that the department took the calls seriously.
The first call, he said, was made at approximately 4 p.m. and the second at 7 p.m. The calls had no specific target, which meant that the threat was geared at either a patient or a staff member.
A spokesperson for the hospital reported that a patient was being investigated. The hospital is still waiting for more information.
